Digital Media Technology

Objective:

Through learning and practice, this major requires students to master the basic concepts, theories and methods of computer science and technology, software engineering, digital media technology, and digital art design. We aim to provide inter-disciplinary professionals who excel in ethics, intellect, and physique, combine computer science and art design, have the ability to design and develop software and innovate digital art design, with awide knowledge of application, a higher level of foreign language application skills, and strong capabilities of engineering practice.Through "upgrading teaching with works", "testing the teaching process with teaching results", "improving students’level with scientific research" and "undergraduate teaching mentor mechanism (sixth to eighth semester)", we carry out systematic inter-disciplinary teaching practice which is consistent with the digital media technology teaching pattern, with the combination of theory and practice and innovative thinking and digital art design as the core, to realize the integration of computer science and art design.

The main courses of this program are: Freshman Seminars and Cognitive Practice, Basic Arts (Sketching and Original Painting), Basics of Color Science, Discrete Mathematics, Introduction to Software Engineering, Computer System Platform, Object-oriented Programming (C++), Java Program Design, Computer Graphics, Layout Art Design, Interface Design, 3D Art Design, Database Application, Design and Practice of IOS System Application Program, Design and Practice of Android System Application Program, C # Programming, Introduction to Animation, Animation Movement Law Practice, 3D Computer Graphics and 3D Technology, Application of Motion Capture System, Game Engine Analysis, Game Development Design, Game Development Practice, Virtual Reality Technology, Work Practice, Graduation Design. In order to respond to the smooth progress of theoretical teaching and experiment, training and practical activities, this program is equipped with virtual reality laboratory, animation laboratory, motion capture laboratory, film and television laboratory, recording laboratory and digital entertainment development laboratories, etc., enabling us to carry out systematic theoretical and practical teaching activities with innovative thinking and work design as the core.

Career:

Graduates of this program are suitable for engaging in software development and production of digital media design, digital game design, scientific visual design and virtual reality design, or working on creation, education, design practice and communication in interdisciplinary fields; they can also continue to study for a master's degree in software engineering and related disciplines.
