Measuring and Control Technology and Instruments

Objective:

To meet the national and regional (especially Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region) talents needs of precision metrology, aerospace, high-end equipment manufacturing and other related industries, Measurement and Control Technology in BJUT aims tocultivate high-quality interdisciplinary engineering technology talents with professional knowledge and engineering practice abilities in optical, mechanical, electrical and control fields, who can be engaged in design and manufacturing technology maintenance and operation management in the fields of precision measurement, nondestructive testing, intelligent sensing and instrumentation with innovative consciousness and international vision.

The graduates are supposed to have a high sense of the patriotism, social responsibilities, humanistic literacy, professional ethics, as well as the abilities of communication, lifelong learning and teamwork. They are capable of solving complex engineering problems with consideration of social environment factors and related policies and regulations. After about 5 years of work or further study, they can actively adapt to the development trend of the industry and play a backbone member in the work team.

Core courses:

Mechanical courses: Engineering Graphics, Engineering Mechanics, Precision Machine Design, Fundamental of Mechanical Manufacture, Mechanical Precision Design Basis.

Electricity courses: Fundamentals of Electric Circuits, Digital and Analog Circuitry, Microcomputer Principle and Interface Technology, Measurement and Control Circuit.

Optics courses: Geometrical Optics, Physical Optics, Photoelectric Technology.

Measurement and Control courses: Error Theory and Data Analysis, Sensors and Measurement Technology, Signal and Information Processing, Control Engineering Fundamentals.

Major Courses: Instrument Intelligent Technology, Precision Instrument Design, Computer Testing and Control System, Technology of Precision Measurement, Computer Vision and Image Processing, Intelligent Sensing Materials and Structures, Piezoelectric Materials and Acoustic Wave Electronic Devices, Micromagnetic Sensing and Detection Technology, Nondestructive Testing, Servo Drive and Control.

Career:

Graduates are largely employed in sensor, measurement, control, instrument design, application, scientific and technological development, technical support, production and management. More than 30% of graduates continue to study forthegraduate programin Chinaor abroad. Others will be offered withspecialjob opportunities by Beijing Aerospace Measurement and Control Technology Co., Ltd, China Daheng (Group) Co., Ltd, Beijing Pansino Measurement and Control Technology Co., Ltd, and Beijing Aerospace Times Optical-Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
