Electronic & Information Engineering (Sino-foreign joint program)

Objective:

As an important cornerstone of the fourth industrial revolution, electronic information technology is the technical basis for the advancement of modern science. The programme is aimed at making students to master the professional knowledge in the field of electronic information with the creative thinking and solve the modern circuit design, signal and information processing field actual problem. Students will be an international perspective and competitiveness of innovative senior technical talent.

The programme covers all kinds of hardware and software in electronic information engineering technology related knowledge, including: electronic circuits, digital logic, communication theory, integrated circuit design, computer programming and electromagnetics, help students to master all kinds of signals and information in real life (such as voice, text, images, remote sensing, etc.) in the processing and exchange of technology, use of cable or wireless transmission way and the basic principle of detecting signal, and the invention of electronic science and technology products and services advanced production life of practical skills.

Graduates will work in artificial intelligence, mobile communications, aerospace, integrated chips and other fields. Electronic information engineers have the opportunity to design world-changing technologies that generate and intelligently process data and information, such as smart phones and the Internet, to make our lives easier. It also can shape a different world and solve the practical problems, such as developing alternative or new sources of energy, inventing life-saving medical devices or creating new modes of communication.

Curriculum:

Teaching forms of the major include class lectures, experimental operations, tutorial guidance, seminars and project assignments. The program covers the following subject areas: mathematics, physics, electronic science and technology, communication networks, and computer engineering.

Core courses: Electronic circuits, digital logic, digital circuit, computer programming, data mining and machine learning, communication principles, signal and system, digital signal processing, wireless communication, RFID, sensor networks, M2M technology, microcontroller (MCU), embedded systems, electromagnetics, electromagnetic wave, communication system, simulation of electronic technology, analogy and RF electronics.

Career:

Students will acquire a broad range of skills creating excellent career prospects. Graduates from this degree will find excellent opportunities in various companies such such as Huawei, China Mobile, Aerospace technology, CLP, Baidu, Siemens, Cisco. Graduates can move into technology management areas, such as public service management for local government.
