New Energy Science and Engineering

Objective:

This undergraduate program is structured to provide students with the capacity to meet the needs of the development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and China with strong awareness of social responsibility and patriotism. We aim to train future high-level professionals with creativity and innovation who have a solid fundamental knowledge of power engineering and engineering thermophysics, and are able to research, design, develop, test, and implement engineering solutions to problems in the areas of new energy and traditional energy. The students are expected to clearly consider the ethical implications and societal impacts of engineering solutions, have an international outlook with clear perspectives, perform as an effective engineering professional in bothindividual and team-based project environments, have the capability to keep enriching knowledge through continuous education or other methods for lifelong learning, and have the innovate thinks.

Curriculum:

Core courses: Advanced Mathematics, Physics, Fundamentals of Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Technology, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Engineering Combustion, Solar Energy Technology, Geothermal Energy and Technology, Thermal Process and Equipment, Energy Conversion and Utilization, Internship, Application of CFD Soft, Curriculum Design, Graduation Project.

Career:

Students who graduate from this program are able to become articulate professional engineers and have all the career choices for utilization, design, manufacturing, and operation management in the areas of new energy and traditional energy. Apart from above fields, students are expected to have a wide range of career choices for technical work and management work in related fields, including thermal engineering, power engineering, and energy management.
