Economic Statistics

Objective:

In the era of big data, this program aims at cultivating applied talents who can master modern statistical information collection, processing technology and computer application technology to meet the needs of employment generated by the rapid development of social economics, culture and scientific education.

Curriculum:

Professional Theoretical Modules: Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematical Statistics, Econometrics, Multivariate Statistical Analysis, Financial Statistics, Sampling Survey, National Economic Accounting, Big Data and R Language.

Professional Practice Module: Innovative Practice of Social Investigation, Statistical Data and Experimental Design, Bank Business Simulation Operation, Insurance Business Simulation, and Securities Trading Simulation Operation.

Career:

Graduates of this major have a wide range of career choices: to engage in information collection, collation and analysis work in various social and economic sectors. which include but are not limited to information consulting industry, market research industry, consulting industry, banking industry, various companies, enterprises and public institutions, culture, news, sports, advertising, and government statistics departments. Graduates can also conduct scientific research and education works in scientific research institutes and education departments or pursue further studies.
