International Economy and Trade

Objective:

This major cultivates pioneering and enterprising talents with internationalized and interdisciplinary qualities. Talents will master the basic theories of modern economics, international trade theories and practical business, be familiar with the development status quo and characteristics of China’s and international trade, rules and practices of international trade, and relevant foreign trade policies and regulations of China with solid academic training and rich practical exercises.

Curriculum:

Professional Theoretical Modules: Principles of Economics, International Trade (Bilingual), International Trade Practice, International Finance (Bilingual), International Economics (Bilingual), Econometrics, International Commercial Law, Introduction to China's Foreign Trade, International Trade in Services, International Investment and Multinational Corporations, International Economic Cooperation, International Marketing (Bilingual), International Business (Bilingual), International Settlement, and World Trade Organization (English Version).

Professional Practice Modules: International Trade Practice Simulation, Import and Export Document Production, International Business Negotiation, International Business English Writing, Foreign Exchange Transaction Simulation, Advanced Business English Listening and Speaking.

Career:

Graduates of this major can conduct international economic and trade-related business, research and planning, management and other work in foreign affairs economic and trade departments, relevant government departments, foreign-funded enterprises, banks, financial institutions and other enterprises and institutions. Graduates can also engage in scientific research and educational works in scientific research institutes and education departments or pursue further study both at home and abroad.
